Iraqi benchmark index continued its rally for the fifth straight session. The index rose by 0.18% gaining 0.18 point and closed at 100.69 points after closing yesterday’s session at 100.51 points.

Total of 2.82 billion shares were traded through 384 transactions at a turnover of IQD 2.9 billion. Out of 40 companies participated in trading, 11 rose, 7 declined, while the remaining 22 ones kept flat.

The benchmark index had increased at yesterday’s session by 0.37% gaining 0.37 point and closed at 100.14 points, rising for the fourth straight session.

The top three losers were Iraqi Date Processing and Marketing Co which declined by 5.2%, Baghdad Soft Drinks Co which decreased by 1.67% and Al Hilal Industrial Co which plunged by 1.35%.

The top three gainers were Ishtar Hotels which rose by 10%, Al Mansour Hotel which increased by 3.7% and Modern Sewing Co which rose by 3.3%.
